Agricultural and Food Science is an international, peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal. It publishes novel research of special significance in boreal agriculture in the areas of agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, animal science, environmental science, horticulture, plant and soil science, and food science related to primary production.
Agricultural and Food Science publishes papers in four categories: Articles, Review Articles, Research Notes and Letters to the Editor. Articles that are based on the presentations of scientific meetings and workshops are also published as special theme issues. The journal has no review or publication fees.

The journal is published by The Scientific Agricultural Society of Finland.
